=== It's only taken since the 60s to get where we are today, because we didn't have enough people like Alan Keyes combining the true God and true Truth with our politics.
Right ... and additionally, we've got a raft of hypocrites as habit this forum. Folks who've taken up the Republican mantra of "I'm personally opposed, but ... " and whose "single issue" excoriation of abortion is particularly gruesome for the way they
(1) rationalize Bush's nailing open the most profitable window of Human NON-Personhood there's ever been
(2) defend absolutely the birth control mentality which not only necessitates a right to abortion where the planning of "God's blessings" are concerned but seeks to exclude the Creator from the only profoundly creative and sacred human relationship they have
and
(3) Countenance the "rape/incest provision" which is the Republican foot in the door by which all shall ever have access to abortion under Certain Circumstances as if the alchemy of pragmatism applied to a Person's "inalienable" right to life.
Abortion is a GOP policy. Always has been. They made the case for it, they were the first to document its "vital" role in our domestic and international campaigns of population control and reduction.
This whole "pro-life" hoo-hah was the Biggest Lie of the entire campaign though the fact Viet Nam's a scab that can still be picked to bleed only goes to show what utterly narcissistic navel-gazers are the boomer and how effective is the fashion industry's regular return to hip-hugging bell bottoms and psychedelics.
I relish your misery at Bush's re-election, Askel.
I absolutely relish it.
