He'll take McAwful's job, and then run for President at some point.
With respect to his wife, I pray for her recovery.
In four years, the US will be 'different' than it is now.
Whether the voting public will vote for someone who campaigned on fabrications and flat-out lies is the issue.
Also, if the public remembers this simple fact. The reason for the shortage of flu shots is because of the large lawsuit against US pharmaceutical companies forcing them to abandon production (they were losing money on production, but kept going because of the need, until the lawsuit).
The lawyer who handled filing and succeeding in getting a massive settlement in the lawsuit?
JOHN EDWARDS.
One would think he would position himself by his wife's bedside, and plant himself there with no talk of politics, until she is well again.
But that would be assuming he was a good man.
Something tells me Edwards had better hold on to his day job.
Makes a lot of sense. He ran for America's VP and Americans trounced him.
Sure. We really just wanted him to run as P. Now he'll win.
(roll the eyes)
Opie was an embarrasment on the campaign trail. His skills as a lawyer didn't help him on the stump nor in the debate with Cheney, who cleaned his clock. Edwards had a chance to shine in the spotlight, but in reality he was an even worse candidate than Kerry was. This guy had his 15 minutes of fame. He's finished as a presidential candidate. The Dems aren't gonna give him another chance.
He couldn't even bring in one southern state, including his own, he's no threat.
I hope we don't bash him in the primaries - it'd be great to have him as and opponent once again. We'd only need one ad: His combing his hair, compact and all - set to music. No words, no comments.
IMHO, Edwards is the Democrat most likely to win in 2008.
