AGREED. That's why I wrote "leave it to the professionals." I don't think everyone is called to parenthood or marriage. Would you also agree with this poster? I think anyone who has the self-awareness to realize they wouldn't make a good parent SHOULD NOT become a parent. TChris, I assure you I'm so not a TROLL. I do post a lot of controversial things mainly because they trouble me and I guess I need assurance that I'm not crazy for being troubled about certain things. Plus, stimulating discussions are fun, aren't they? The more passion we elicit the better.

While I agree that folks who aren't prepared to be parents probably shouldn't be, that's a completely different beast from "Kids are Overrated". Kids are generally terrific, if their parents do their job. Many parents are overrated.
