I still remember the "600 found" votes in New Mexico that "gave" your state to Gore in 2000. It made me physically ill to see this happen. It makes us look like a "Banana Republic" to the rest of the world. Thank God for the Bush victory in both elections.

Don't be surprised if they "find" enough votes to turn this state back to Kerry. That process is going on right now with the provisional ballots.

It was 500, and it wasn't that they "found votes," they merely corrected a transcription error, since a precinct in Dona Ana County that had given Gore (IIRC) 800 votes had been mistakenly written down as giving him 300 votes (the 8 was confused for a 3). So the 500 votes added to Gore wasn't because of fraud. Of course, I can't speak about all those ballot boxes that they kept finding throughout New Mexico . . . .

We'll never know who *really* won New Mexico in 2000, but if I had to wager, I'd say it was Bush.
