Bravo to Ann!!!

Once again she's cut to the chase.

Karl Rove is receiving credit that should go to grassroots Christian organizations who worked hard to educate voters and provide voter guides. (Groups like Focus on the Family, Family Research Council, Concerned Women for America, American Family Association, Center for Reclaiming America, etc. etc. etc.)

Like it or not folks, Ann is right. We squeaked by on this one solely because Christians turned out in record numbers and Karl Rove had precious little to do with it.

You Christians failing to recognize this are sending the wrong message to Washington.

I suggest you don't think that Ken Mehlman and Ralph Reed and therefore, their boss, Karl Rove, had nothing to do with this.

Let me explain a bit further. Due mostly to IRS regulations, the Christian groups you've mentioned have not promoted the direct involvement in political campaigns, which is the best way to promote a candidate.

Mssrs. Mehlman, Reed, and Rove found a way to bridge that gap. See Colorado Senator Allard's victory. They used that plan, to set up their ground and phone efforts and saw to it that the Christians FINALLY HAD AN EFFECTIVE CAMPAIGN VENUE instead of just singing to the choir.

"You Christians failing to recognize this are sending the wrong message to Washington"- You said it best.
I think Ann is correct on this and that we must keep the issues of moral values on the front burner.Part of the success story of this election should be shared between the Bush team and those who were fighting openly for the moral values issues. I believe if President Bush had made this a key issue in every stump speech, other than a brief mention, he would have won several other states. Ann...you go girl!

I agree. It's the massive drive by the Christian Right that saved the bacon, not Karl Rove. It was saved in spite of him.
