The real reason to use FireFox is to keep spyware off your machine. It's not 100% air-tight, but pretty darned close.
I'm still using Firebird. Some of my favorite extensions wouldn't work in Firefox. Too many holes in Iexplorer for my liking.
I happen to love Firefox. However, due to my job, there are certain web applications which will ONLY work with IE.
But I use Firefox for everything else.

Ive used firefox for a while and never had a problem, and its faster than ie, not to mention that when i turn up my resolution ies fonts are so small I cant read them
Has anyone tried an email program called ePrompter? If so, is it any good?

I'm using slimbrowser from www.flashpeak.com. Its alot more user friendlier then Firefox and you can beat the built in seach and dictionary tools. Very small. Bommer gives it 4 stars.
Firefox is a winner for me. Much faster than IE.

After all this time, they can't even make it where you can save a web page. No matter the title of a thread, it only shows as "posts". That's a simple and basic necessity of a browser. Instead of trying to rush a release candidate they need to stop right where they are and fix the simple and basic things.
Never tried it. I like Safari better than IE, though. Come to think of it, the only reason my iBook has IE at all is because my fiance likes it.

I am pondering the points while viewing in Firefox. And it beats the tar out of IE.
O.K. I'm actually ready to jettison IE (running on XP Home) and my choices for a new e-mail client/browser are 1)Netscape 7.2 (custom install to avoid bloatware I don't use), 2) Latest non-beta version of Mozilla (is it 1.7??), or Firefox browser with ??? e-mail client.
Suggestions, please.
Me, I prefer Mozilla to Firefox. Firefox has been dumbed down for IE users, and I don't care for that.
Sorry, I didn't mean you, BigSkyFreeper, I meant the commentator.
All browsers, across the board, need to meet the w3c constraints on CSS, or get out of the business.
that goes for all of them, with the exception of reading browsers, for the blind.
