JMHO - but in the past we have heard stories of how unappreciated the Viet Nam Vets have felt because of the left. My view is this country rose up and in a loud and clear voice, validated its love for the Viet Nam Vets and clearly trounced their critics. Viet Nam Vets - your country has always loved you, and it just let the whole world know it!
They really were appreciated at the time by the people. We just didn't know back then how anti-American the Old Media was.
We felt like we were in the minority and were afraid to publicly express our appreciation. Even today, people like Rush repeat the lies that no one was waiting on the docks when our carriers returned.
We all had friends and family serving in Nam and we were proud and appreciative of them in exactly the same way we are of those serving in Iraq. There just weren't any yellow ribbons because the Michael Moores didn't have the George Bushes drowning them out.
Small correction..untrue.
