Perhaps with all the vileness and anger coming from the left, we on the right can show that while politics and ideology divide, we are all human beings. Some of us have been there where the Edwards are today.
I sent Senator Edwards a little note. My wife suffered from cancer and I know first hand how devastating that is to care for your spouse, the one you love as no one can fathom. There are also those two children involved.
Just my two cents, we can show them that even though we fought against them in the race, we will pray for them in their time of need. It is the right thing to do.

Thank you for the link. My mother died of cancer in February of this year, and my only aunt is dying of breast cancer right now. I will certainly send a note wishing them well, and I have already added Mrs. Edwards to my prayers. Although I would never have even considered voting for her husband, I can't imagine any true conservative not having compassion for someone suffering from this truly horrible disease.
