The cloture rule will not be changed. According to the provisions of the current cloture rule, it can only be altered by a two-thirds majority vote of the Senate. Ain't no way in hell the Dems are gonna let that happen.

Actually, the rules have to be readopted every two years at the beginning of a new session of Congress in the US Senate. The rule adoption only takes a majority of the Senate vote and MAY NOT be filibusted as the filibuster rule of the Senate is not yet ACTIVATED until the rules are adopted.
The Republican controlled Senate could do it in early January if they really wanted to do so...
