Just thought of another difference between us while sipping my morning coffee on the front porch. .....This truck driving mama owns her park....all ten acres of it....the out-of-touch in NYC must rely on public property poor dear......Someone else does the mowing, the weeding, the planting, the growing for her.....She's a kept woman....I can sure live without her type, but can she live without the heartland?

Believe it or not, it's the same here in the 'burbs. I guess the thing that cracks me up the most is that the #1 reason these people left NY for CT was the 'high taxes.'

Since they started arriving, my taxes have DOUBLED, to the point where they are as much as my P&I mortgage payment.

So they hire all these companies to manage their house and yard, then expect the schools to babysit their kids from sunup to sundown. I don't care how many people they hire -- as long as they have a few bucks left to spend in my store.

I do care that the cost of babysitting their kids has caused my taxes to skyrocket, though.
