Gibson definitely awoke the sleeping giant that is the Catholic Church in America. My Jewish father tonight was so excited about this election, because Bush won 55% of Latino votes in Florida, all because of his appeal to Catholic values and the Church finally getting off its collective behind and taking a stand for life and for traditional marriage. I believe this started with "The Passion."

Michael Moore preached to the leftist choir. The only diference he made was making his own bank account bigger.

VTW, Luran Ingraham this mornign as an aside said her next campaign is going to be for an Oscar nomination for Gibson and his movie and for Jim Caviezel.

I disagree. Gibson's reluctance to endorse Bush over objections to Iraq was really pissy on his part.

The Passion was a non-factor in the election.
