Heh heh heh
That's how it always goes in these close Washington elections. They always find a bunch of Democrat votes right at the end.
Well, can you give us specific crimes they have committed, and what crimes he should specifically investigate when he takes over? I'd like to help, but we need a lot more than just "They should be in jail". We need details, man. Details. ;0)
I don't think that carpetbaggers have done well historically in the Soviet of Washington.
If you look at Republican elected officials you get Slade Gordons, Dan Evans, John Spellman folks elected by the Puget Sound Dem's. Dino Rossi and Rob McKenna are considered very very moderate and "well behaved" and so are acceptable to Puget Sound "sensibilities."
It is only because Gregoire is so obviously incapable of managing state Government that she has to fight for the Governorship. My fear is that with the two person primary we would have had Gregoire versus Sims with no Republican in the November election. (yes I prefer the open primary, but that isn't what we are going to get.)
Just like it took a very liberal or centerist Republican to win in California, it will take someone with "star power" or a political image that isn't "conservative" to replace Maria Can't-Vote-Well.
If you are joking, it isn't funny. If you aren't joking, you are insane.
Keyes is finished as a candidate or as a political force.
Well, I thought it was funny. But I agree - he's finished ;)
In all seriousness, I want to start getting ready for that race now, while the Republican movement in this state is gaining momentum - we can use this election as a building block - a launchpad for 2006. We just need the right candidate...
No.
If Rossi doesn't win, I think he'd be a good candidate against Cantwell.
Lets just re-run John Carlson, cheaper to bring him here and he would lose by almost as much.
You can count on 5 absentee votes for Rossi in King County. My whole family here and at least 1 coworker voted for him.
I agree - only if he doesn't win. But either way, we on the grassroots level better get in gear now, because knowing our state party, it'll be september of 2006 before they find a candidate...
ROTFL...
I was thinking that too... he'd probably do better than Nethercutt would.
On another note, all those Libertarian nutburgers annoy the crap out of me. 2% of the vote? We've got some insane folks here... I know that not all the Libertarians would swing R...some would prefer to vote D. But still, without the Libertarians acting as spoiler, we'd still have Slade Gorton, we'd have Rossi as a lock right now, and there's probably 2-3 other close races in the past 4-6 years that would have gone R.
Sigh...
There is nothing you can do to help, unless you can happen to be able to arrange a personal meeting with McKenna before he takes office. If not, I'll arrange my own meeting after he tales office.
Well, do what you can, but maybe I can arrange something if you really want me to...
According to Dino's people, most of the Libertarian Vote this time around came out of Gregoire's hide...
That speaks volumes for me...
Sorry for my bit of ill-humor...used to like Keyes. Would love to see Cantwell replaced, but last night proved WA, like CA, is way too liberal for me. Two of the dumbest people in America have new 6-year terms in the Senate. Where they will find great support & comfort from our newly re-elected Scottish Lawyer.
On the bright side, they will no longer have Little Tom to inspire them!
