Why can't they just sneak across the border like the Mexicans sneak across into this country?

You just can't come into Canada and say 'I'm going to stay here'. In other words, there has to be an application. There has to be a reason why the person is coming to Canada," said immigration ministry spokeswoman Maria Iadinardi.Wow, with an attitude like that maybe Ms. Iadinardi would like Asa Hutchinson's job over at INS.
Imagine that...You just can't come into a country and say "I'm going to stay here"

Or, you can just hop the border, and tie up Canadian Immigration in their wacko liberal courts for a few decades until there's another Democrat elected.

"You just can't come into Canada and say 'I'm going to stay here'. In other words, there has to be an application. There has to be a reason why the person is coming to Canada," One time my wife and I were visiting friends in Canada. The customs official was incredulous. "What on earth are you going to do in Alberta for NINE DAYS???" Like the subject had never come up before. "I don't know. You got any suggestions?"

Huh?
I thought it was standard policy for the Canadian guvmint to accept even
folks without any documentation that arrived at the airport in Toronto
if they claimed to running from trouble in Afghanistan.
I thought that's approximately how our friend Ressam got into Canada to cook up his plans
to attack Los Angeles International Airport.
That would make a great cartoon:
at customs at Toronto's Airport...
"Welcome potential terrorists from Islamic hell-holes;
American Liberals, wait your turn.
We do have standards here in Canada!"

Ive suggested to liberals that they could leave America if they aren't happy here. They usually comment that it's unamerican of me to say so. In reality, eviction of anti americans was one of our first acts as a free nation after the revolution. By some estimates as much as 1/3 of early Americas population was given the boot.

DEMOCRATS CONCEDE !!!
To: knak
"But recent statistics show a gradual decline in U.S. citizens coming to work in Canada, which has a creaking publicly funded healthcare system and relatively high levels of personal taxation."
But isn't that what the left wants? Kerry even mentioned the "right to health care" in his concession speech. Having everyone taxed so everyone can have government health care is an item of faith among the left.
