OK, I was kidding about Rove. But lets get serious and follow the rules here. They are:

1. Senators need not apply. They just don't win.

2. People who have not won initial statewide offices and have been basically appointed VP need not apply.

3. Small state governors need not apply.

So lets look at the list:

1. Arnold, CA [Not currently eligible.
2. Jeb Bush, FL [I never heard similar complaints when the second and third Kennedy brother were running so he may well win it.]
3. Rudy, NYC [He violates the statewide election rule, but NYC is as big as a medium state so he might make it.]

So don't give me any Rices or Frists etc. Give me some serious contenders IF THE GOP WANTS TO WIN.
