So if I work hard and save my after tax money then I get taxed AGAIN when I spend it? Not saying I have the answer, but that appears to be double taxation to me.

Got bad news for you, that is what is happening to you now.

DO YOU PAY YOUR INCOME TAX

Under an NRST, all federal income and payroll taxes would be eliminated removing the front end taxation. Any money placed/retained in savings and investment would not be taxed. Under an NRST nothing is taxed until spent on new goods or services.

Not clear why no one on this thread has got my point. I do write simple declarative english sentences. 1) I already paid taxes on what I have saved. 2) Now you propose a sales tax to tax AGAIN what I have worked so hard to put away? 3) I am not a fan of the IRS/income taxes, but is it fair to tax people like me AGAIN?
