The 16th Amendment would have to be repealed before the Fair Tax is implemented; otherwise, we will have both taxes imposed on us either sooner or later. While I support the Fair Tax, I feel Congress would never relinquish its ultimate power to manipulate the tax code for whatever purpose. If the Fair tax is too difficult to implement by repealing the 16th Amendment, we should pass a flat income tax. It is VITAL that the IRS be eliminated with either plan!

So which is it that you want - elimination of the IRS or implementation of a flat (income) tax? You do understand that those two are mutually exclusive, don't you?
