Clearly, the Kerry campaign machine paled next to the brilliant assault commanded by Bush and Karl Rove. Bush and Rove almost blew it. It was SBV4T that won it for W. Read Joe Farah's article.

Yes, John O'Neill and the SBV4T are the unsung heroes of Bush's re-election. Without their efforts, I'm not sure that Bush would have won. I hope that Bush will publicly thank the SWV4T.

I agree. I stated in another post that I thought the Bush/Cheney campaign kept foolishly waiting for the media to do its job and then scambled at the end when they realized it was not going to happen. As much as I like this President, he screwed up by letting Kerry get away with the Tora Bora lie not once, not twice, but three times in three debates. Unbelieavable!
But, in the end, the President put his faith in God and that won him the election. He can stand against me when I am with God!

It was SBV4T that won it for WThey helped, but Rove's "get out the vote" efforts in Ohio and Florida were the key. The Republicans simply turned out in greater numbers.

I totally agree with you that the Swift Boat Vets were the deciding factor. And please, the next time a sitting GOP president is asked to debate, he should just laugh and tell the media that they can go ahead and declare the Dem the winner without going through the hyped-up media circus that these worthless debates have become. They will NEVER declare the Republican the winner anyway, and it almost cost Bush this election.

I agree that the Swifties made the difference. One could argue that Kerry made a mistake making Vietnam and his (dis)service there the major talking point of his campaign. But what else did he have? His record? LOL

The Swift Boat Vets played a great role in this, but when you consider the lies and vitriol hurled at this president by the mainstream press, the entertainment industry, academia, etc., you really have to hand it to George Bush, Karl Rove, and 58,000,000+ Americans who stuck to principles and were determined to defeat the evil blight afflicting this country known as the Democrat Party.
