Peter Jennings was complaining to George Stephenopolis that it is President' Bush's perogative to come out and declare victory. That it is wrong of him not to do this leaving it up to the networks. He then a few minutes later signed off for the night.
They won't give President Bush an inch even in his night of the largest historical victories in the U.S. Presidency. The American people aren't going to put up with this for more than a few hours tomorrow.

As disgraceful as leaving your constituents sitting there in drizzling 40 degree rain, because you're to chicken to come out and tell them what's happening. After all, they are just the 'little people."
As we were the "little people" tonight to Fox news. A captive audience who had nothing better to do than "go bowling," per Brit Hume. Acting as if they were peeved to have to work late, and suggesting the "exit poll problem" had something to do with the "bloggers."
They are the ones who have lost touch with reality. They don't want to report, they want to decide.
They forget that all the percentages the statisticians agonized over were real people who had taken their time to go vote. By not representing this election accurately for President Bush they insult themselves.
Next election it's FR all the way. TV is a dinosaur.
