These two stories are really odd. I believe this and others fall in place back before summer, when they told all the muslims to keep our security busy.

I wouldn't be surprised if that is so.

If I were more of the suspicious type (wait a minute... I AM!) I would suspect that there is some coordinated effort to tie up as much of our intelligence resources as possible in order to distract us from something that is going on under our noses.

The way I see it:

Iran, China, and Al Quaeda seem to be in bed together, coordinating pressure on us.

NOrth Korea is in some kind of turmoil, experiencing what in my mind is a state-sponsored turnover that's meant to look like a popular uprising that starts as an underground movement in order to gain legitimacy with the masses (wild, I know, but it's the way my mind goes sometimes)

Submarines have appeared off Japan and Israel, apparently probing detection and response capabilities.

Anyone want to add to this?
