I just had a thought about the three lamps east, two lamps west timing element in the reply to the Tip of the EarthX And She bled post: could it be from the end of Ramadan? They surely knew security would be up everywhere on all the candidate nights for the Night of Al-Qadr. Might they be waiting until it relaxes?
When I did pop into SI it looked to be mostly end-of-Ramadan devotional postings. But I see someone else on TM talking about increased chatter the last few days. Anything tie in to what we'd been thinking? Or is it all about Iraq?
I think part of it is that everyone is revved up by all the talk of nukes possibly coming over the border. I am rather inclined to think that someone is floating a trial balloon and then letting all of the experts talk about it on TV to give them ideas on how to pull it off. I heard several speculative discussions on the air today concerning areas where secuity was light, possible ways to build a low-yield bomb from minimal components so it could do the most damage, and other things that, were I a scum-sucking jihadist bent on doing damage, I would have found ve-e-e-ery helpful.
