As I’ve said, I’ve monitored the work of ACSA since they came to the forefront here in TM. I went back to archeived Terrorist Summaries covering the track record of this group. Lets see how they faired.

10/4/04 A new kid on the block is the American Computer Scientists Assoc (ACSA). I throw these folks into the mix for evaluation and documentation if their predictive methodology pans out. They note in the following press release excerpts dated 9/25/04 -

“The ACSA (American Computer Scientists Association | http://acsa.net ) indicated it felt October 6 and 7th were very likely "Al Qaeda Profiled" days for such an attack to occur. It also stated that any such attack could be delayed to occur closer to the actual US Elections, but for the Democratic Party to seize an opportunity to try and topple the Bush Campaign, it would probably require four weeks of concerted, coordinated efforts, for it to blame Bush for the anticipated attack sufficiently to muster support for it's failing campaign, as indicated by recent drops in support for Kerry in the polls.”

"We believe that it is likely that October 6 and 7 best fit the kind of drama program the Al Qaedans like to use. For one, the 6th is the actual anniversary of the Palestinian takeover of the Cruise Liner Achille Lauro in 1985”

"The 7th of October is the actual anniversary of the 1973 attack during Yom Kippur on Israel, and the actual anniversary of the United States – British combined operation to invade Afghanistan two to three years ago after 911."

Their press release also goes into potential numerology and other significant events on those dates. It has been noted here at TM that there is a slight correlation between attacks and historic events and numbers but the connections have not yet been a reliable indicator for bracketing attack windows.

The next summary covered the results.

10/11/04 The American Computer Scientists Assoc (ACSA) put out a press release dated 9/25/04, indicating that Oct 6 & 7th would be likely days for an AQ attack to occur if it is to be successful in influencing the American elections.  Because the attack in Egypt occured on the 7th, they are claiming success in predicting the attack. However, the attacks did little to influence the elections. They are now predicting that Oct 12th is the next likely day for an AQ based attack.

The Egyptian attack occured more because of the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippor than any numerology tool applyed by ACSA. Secondly, there had already been warnings by the Israeli government over the threat of an attack at these Sinai resorts over the holiday. The general context of the warning also inferred that the attack would be on American or close ally soil. This did not happen. Furthermore, the attack failed to be of a magnitude to cause a sway in the election. Therefore they are not entirely correct in claiming credit for ‘predicting’ the Sinai attacks.

10/14/04 The American Computer Scientists Assoc (ACSA) Oct 12th prediction has not panned out.

10/23/04 The American Computer Scientists Assoc (ACSA) predicted that Oct 12th is the next likely day for an AQ based attack. This date has come and gone without incident.

Here again is the failure of their numerology techniques. Nothing happened Oct 12th.

10/23/04 I continue to monitor The American Computer Scientists Assoc (ACSA) and here is their most recent warning:

"Signs seem to indicate that the US Domestic Sleeper Cells of Osamma Bin Laden / Al Qaeda are in 'attack plan restart' and have been accompanied by simultaneous intelligence that Bin Laden has relocated his hiding place," says ACSA decryption expert, Milt Abramson. Savvy intelligence gatherers have advised ACSA that Bin Laden, fearing a latent threat from Chinese populations in the vicinity of his hiding place, has moved to a new underground facility. Simultaneously, he has quietly fielded new orders to "restart attack plans on the USA" effective yesterday, October 22, 2004. That would place the Terrorist Operatives inside of the United States in a position of being able to strike as early as October 25, though it seems more likely that they would attack on the eve of or day of the Elections, as previously suggested by Vice President Dick Cheney. Abramson indicated certain kinds of money laundering and raise up activities had become visible, suggesting that Al Qaeda operatives were in need of some "quick traveling money". Such untraceable funds are raised through a combination of white-collar crimes and narcotics trafficking by the Al Qaeda networks inside the USA.

No attacks on any of the dates they predicted. Current location of OBL is still under dispute by intelligence analysts. The results - they didn’t perform very well in either predicting the date or location of any attack(s). The only AQ related attack -Sinai- was more due to Jewish vacation than anything discovered by ACSA.

Therefore, I question their credability regarding this incredable (read tinfoil) report on how Pakistan got its hand on a nuke, didn’t bother to take it back an analyze it to develope their own weapons for use against India, but hid it in Soviet influence Syria without Soviet or Syrian intelligence finding out (believe me the Syrians would have loved to have gotten their hands on it). And now Musharrif is going to hand over this device to folk he now somehow controls, who BTW have tried to kill him several times, and still pin it on OBL. This is not a credable story or a threat IMHO.
