[Editors Note: Todays alert is short, but we decided to put it out anyways because the first two articles are important. We've been wondering when this sort of information would finally be made public. Perhaps now more people will finally realize just how real and how grave a threat we face in the War on Terror.
We think it is terribly sad that once again the Department of Homeland Security is apparently aware of a serious threat to the citizens of the United States, but has chosen not to make the threat public. Why are we hearing about this from a recently resigned CIA agent? Does the public not have a right to know? What other information is known to DHS but not being shared with the public?
We would put forth one theory... perhaps Al Qaeda already has a nuclear device on American soil, and perhaps the reason we have not taken Osama into custody is because we are under threat of such a device being detonated if we do. It's just a theory, and I am sure we will get emails calling us alarmist, but we think it is a concept worth considering.]

First off, yes there is/are information that the government should not share with the public. If true, this could be one of them. However, the Nuclear fatwa has been out for many months now, it is not anything new.

As far as a true nuclear threat, combining the fact that OBL has one supporting his desires and two - the prime opportunity the election period provided, no nukes went off. OBL's nuclear capabilities, though some here would rigorously disagree with me, are probably not there yet. The most likely sources would be Pakistan, which likely kept close hold on its nukes to counter India's threat, and Iran which is still developing. There have been ample opportunities for use. It is not a precision weapon, such as flying into a building or needs to be close enough to inflict damage such as a car/truck bomb. In my judgement, he doesn't have them yet, but desperately wants them.
