You know, I am basically a doomer type but even I am starting to wonder if the continuing terror threat in the US has been overblown. It really conflicts me. How can my state have had 17 alleged instances of ferry system reconnoitering yet nothing has happened? Flipping back and forth, one day I'm afraid that the largest surprise attack in history will occur and the next day I'm convinced nothing more will ever be heard from these people. Of course, tomorrow is another one of those "target" dates so we'll just have to see.

Me too. As a fellow Washingtonian, I also share a particular fondness for ferries. They seem to be an easy, high profile, target, even though capturing/destroying one would not damage the nation as a whole.

On balance, I am still on the "largest surprise attack in history" side. The reason is not the barrage of Al Qaida propaganda. Yeah, yeah, they hate us, they are truly evil, and they would vaporize us all if they could. But that does not mean they can...

I still think the attack is coming because I trust the President and his men, I don't believe they would deliberately overplay this, and they seem to take it very, very seriously.

Believe it or not, my position is identical to yours. I have been with TM since Day 1, and have read, probably 80% of the posts, and there has been some pretty scary crapola. Many times in the last year, I have wondered if "this was it".

I took exception to most of the work of the 9/11 commission (aka Hindsight Commission), but one thing has always struck me - they said we suffered from a lack of creativity. Well, I would say the TM'ers have been VERY creative in connecting dots and envisioning possible scenarios.

Like you, I have this near-optimism that we have eradicated the threat. Then, I remember, there is some significant number of people in this world who pray five times each day for the opportunity to martyr themselves while killing you, me, and as many other Americans as possible. That thought is profoundly troubling.

Do not be deceived dear brother. The Bible tells us many will doubt Christ's return just "because it hasn't happened yet."

The lack of an event does not decrease the odds of it happening in the future. The odds are as high as ever. The mistake most make is trying to "guess" a date. The bad guys may spew a lot of propaganda, but we will never be able to predict a certain date...

When we receive info, assuming they want us to know in advance so it can be caught on film, our warning will be minutes, not days or months...and us "little people" will probably have no warning at all..only the government and the media, who will withhold that from us due to mass panic.

Stay locked..cocked..and ready to rock. It IS coming.....
