It doesn't turn on that, but on whether the author knows the usage of green as unripe in English and whether Arabic applies its word for unripe (as in fruit) to human beings to mean inexperienced.
lahargis, do Arabic speakers use the Arabic word for 'unripe' to mean inexperienced?

I am definitely not qualified to answer that question. Probably, nw knows the answer to that. I use a program to translate.

lahargis suggests you might be able to help on this: do Arabic speakers use the same Arabic word to mean 'unripe' when applied to fruit and 'inexperienced' when applied to human beings?
