It's been a few years since we sold our sailboat so I'm rusty on my navigation rules. Port and starboard lights, red and green. Was it two red, one green? Or was it ever three red, two green in shipping channels? Am I making sense?

As far as channel markers go, you keep the red lights to starboard (right) when you're inbound. The only multiple lights I can think of would be range lights, which you line up to make sure you're steering a straight course through a channel. Don't know if HSC has range lights, though.

"Port and starboard lights"

Is it possible to use these as a trigger mechanism? I'm thinking about that signalbomb thing-a-ma-jig found on the freight rail line in southwest Philly.
