The Threat Matrix
The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.
"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."
We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research. |

A caller to a talk show (Jones?) from the Texas National Guard stated a few weeks ago that they were being prepared to implement martial law in November-December. Don't know if the station is valid or not, but the fellow sounded genuine.

Also--Texas---Oil, Bush
Houston was on one of the lists the Red Cross put out for needing "post disaster relief" awhile back. Now when you try to find that list, you get a 404 message.

Houston Ship Channel Closed After Chemical Accident DEER PARK, Texas -- The Houston Ship Channel was closed for several hours Saturday after a nearby chemical plant accidentally released nitric acid vapor, U.S. Coast Guard officials said. The release happened at a facility in Deer Park owned by Texas Molecular, which provides waste management and transportation services as well as specialized chemical manufacturing, recovery and processing services. It was not immediately known how the release happened. A spokesman for Texas Molecular, based in the Houston suburb of Deer Park, did not immediately return a telephone call seeking comment. .....excerpt.....

I didn't know this:
San Antonio Express: Texas may become known as importer of natural gas 8/18/04
Express-News quoted Poten & Partners research in this article about Texas becoming a big importer of LNG. "Industry publication Poten & Partners reported that Conversion Gas Imports is partnering with Washington state and other energy companies to try to unload and vaporize LNG directly into salt caverns, which have long been used to store oil and gas." says the article.

just a thought. I was reading some of the jihadi stuff on Jill's site yesterday (recent stuff) and those comments about necklaces came up once again. Necklaces surrounding something?
To: knak
The refinery scenario would also be consistent with several other things.
When AQ discussed sabotaging the refineries in Saudi Arabia years ago, they noted that in the process of refining oil, a chemical is used which- when ignited- would cause a very lethal chemical weapon.
Also, on some of their threats about their plans, they have written "breathe deeply when the time comes- it will be easier that way."

I remember something about necklaces too, but don't recall the specifics. Changing the subject slightly....11-9 is coming up this Tues. 9-11 happened on a Tuesday. Hopefully no significance.

Grasshopper, there may be wisdom in this. They like hitting on Tuesdays in infidel countries, and Friday in Muslim countries (since any good muslim will be in a mosque and away from the action).
