Yup, Senator Edwards speaks. SoreLoserman II begins tonight, but I'm not waiting!

Congratulations President Bush!!

It's all over but the crying for the SoreLosermen!!

And now it's time for us to start planning the Free Republic George W. Bush Inaugural Ball II!

I've had Kristinn checking venues and prices and we're in the process of getting a proposal from the Wyndham City Center Hotel in Washington, DC (the other Wyndham that we used last time is already booked).

The costs have more than doubled from our first ball, so we're estimating the price per person will have to be in the neighborhood of $175 per person. We'll also have to move fast on this. We'll need to make a quick decision as soon after the elections results are official as we possibly can and then we'll need to quickly raise the funds to put up the required deposit.

So, here's the question: Are you ready for an Inaugural Ball?

If so, please post here if you plan to attend and how many will be in your party.

Thank you all very much and hope to see you in DC on January 20th!!

By the way, everyone told us last time that the Free Republic Ball was the best one in town and it was half the price or less than all the others. I suspect that this Ball will also be the best in town and at $175 will still be priced less than any other!

The estimated price is $175 per FReeper. We should be able to make the formal announcement and start tickets sales next week if all works out quickly.

I'll be coming alone -- if there are any other Freepers also coming alone who'd like to congregate once there, let's keep one another informed on where to meet!

It's Bush's fault.

I thought I already posted on this thread to put me down for 1 but I can't find the post. (Could it have been pulled? Maybe I was so excited about our victory that I couldn't help but post profanity-laden and abusive language?) It was a thrill last time, and hopefully I'll get another hug from Bo Snerdley (did that reference get my post pulled? I didn't mean "hug" as a euphemism for anything dirty, I swear ...)

All the hotels in D.C. are booked. I guess the Dems haven't haven't released their reservations yet. What are they waiting for?
