The rural areas of VA will come in later and go big for Bush.

bingo

They are probably counting up in the northern parts around DC, which would unsurprisingly be Kerry. But the rest of the state? Bush country!

"turned the lights out too early here... Bush will win "

It seems there were other places that the money and effort could be invested for more return.

It is nerve wracking, but I'd rate it a good decision by Rove.

We gotta put up a fence to keep these Yankees out... Close down the bridges over the Potomac for repairs for a few years... mandatory tobacco chewing... something.

Have they gotten to the infected (with CA variant 'Rat-itis) counties yet?

Bush is up 10 points with just under 30% counted. Based upon a seat-of-the-pants review of the congressional seat totals, it looks like the early returns come from mixed disticts, maybe leaning a little towards Dems (probably Richmond returns).

I've also noted Fairfax and the 11th district haven't reported SQUAT yet. . .

It really wouldn't be gentlemanly of me to say "I told you so." But then when has that ever stopped me?

I TOLD YOU SO!!!!

To be fair, most of y'all on the ping list said the same thing. I just wish I'd kept a record of all the naysayers.

One more thing...

Mark this Down: Jerry Kilgore becomes Virginia's next great (i.e., non-horseface, lying, lib'ral, carpetbagging yankee taxaholic) Governor in precisely 459 Days.

We still have work to do...

(in other news, the lib'ral in my office wouldn't even speak to me this mornin'...)

Sigh, I just don't understand how that district keeps sending that < insert derogatory questionable sexual orientation slur here > back to Congress.

Bush won Virginia so decisively that this "too close to call" mantra only highlights the poor results of the exit polling.

Thank you Virginians for your giving Bush such as mandate.

Virginia

2328 of 2345 precincts - 99 percent

X- George W. Bush (i) Rep 1,659,263 - 54 percent
  John F. Kerry Dem 1,406,909 - 46 percent

I almost voted for him. He brings a lot of jobs to the area and is VERY responsive to the electorate. He's been a good congressman.
