The networks, the reporters, and even the tabulation firm conspired in 2000 to give the impression that the Democrats were doing well.

They reported late on those areas where Bush was winning; they illegally called Florida before the closing of polls; they jumped to unfounded conclusions that benefited Gore in the calls they made.

They withheld, obfuscated, and lied to the advantage of Gore.

They are the same people this year.

Why would we expect honest from this this time around?

Polls close in less than 40 minutes in Georgia, South Carolina, Vermont, and Virginia; most of New Hampshire (a few localities stay open until 8 pm EST); the Eastern time zone portion of Florida; and the Central time zone portions of Indiana and Kentucky.
