Kerry is up 52-47 in Iowa with 7% home. Based on congressional district precincts in, 31% of the votes in our lone Congressional district with a Democrat are in. In the heavy R Congressional district in west Iowa, only 1% of votes are in. So I would not sweat the Kerry lead.

A union idiot this am tried to talk me into voting for Kerry with a few phony baloney stories about republican dirty tricks on good union folk. I said no. He said, Bush is trying to take away our jobs. I said, that may happen, but if Kerry gets in, we won't need a job. We'll all be dead. He said, but we'll still have a job. EEEEEEK! You can't get through to some people.

Detroit's precinct returns and turned blue in an instant. My memories of Detroit end in the summer of 1967 when, as an 11 year old boy, standing on the back porch of our Livonia home with my father, looking at the smoke to the east. I asked him, "What't that?" He was acting in a way I had never seen and didn't understand, but said, (no lie) "It's the end of the world as we know it." One month later we moved. Haven't been back since.

And now a peek into the DUmmy camp....on the voting problems blog; "Just got back from voting... provisionally as it turned out. After days of not being able to find out where the hell it is that I go to vote I got in the car and prepared to drive half way to China to find my polling place... turns out it was at the church right across the street from where I live." and they wonder why we call them DUmmies.
OMG!!! I couldn't find my polling place during the primary (they changed it), so I went to my county's website and found it in like 5 mins.
You can't make this stuff up.
