My stomach is queasy just from the prospect of getting the results, I probably wont eat lunch..

No exit polling where I voted in Green Bay. Did see a couple poll watchers, though. And the turnout was heavy.

Hmm. MSM didn't do a good job of relating the vote of a couple dozen people last night from N.H.. Everyone be careful with the projections. Even if good, I don't trust the MSM not to screw this up.

Is that 2 p.m. EST?
(I'm in Ireland, so I'm operating on GMT)

Any early exit polls released are going to be highly selective and designed to sow FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt). Don't even pay attention to anything released by AP, Rooters, any pollsters or the 3 networks until about 8pm eastern. By then, when the writing is on the wall and they know they are going to lose, they will become honest.

Is there some point behind your choice of KEYWORDS?

Don't get too excited one way or the other. Exist polls are not final results, just an idication.Exactly. Conventional wisdom is that lots of GOP voters don't vote until they get off from work in the afternoon.

DU isn't letting anyone post "exit poll" data to its site. Worried it might "supress" the vote. More likely they are worried that every one will commit hari-kari.

Chris Matthews on Imus this morning was bragging that they would know who won(from exit polls) by 3:00 pm this afternoon. when Brokaw came on he was not ready to make the same comment.

Exactly. Conventional wisdom is that lots of GOP voters don't vote until they get off from work in the afternoon. That's VERY true. Democrats have all day to get to the polls. I have to wait until after 5:00. My husband needed my car. His breaks are grinding on his truck, and we live 3 miles up a hill.

I couldn't get drudge to come up a couple minutes ago

I'm praying we see something like this:
LANDSLIDE!
EXIT POLLS SHOW BUSH BLOWOUT!!

To: MahaMarty
First exit polls will be for Kerry because the East Coast is his terrain and they opened earlier. This is just as much a manipulation as it is to announce winner in states before polls close. Releasing this sort of information to the public should be illegal. More make-news-poll-manipulation on the part of the media.
