If the 2004 presidential election were held today, would you vote for:
FL | AR | CO | OH | IA | MI | MO | NH | NV | WV | OR | PA | WI | MN | NM
Kerry-Edwards | 45 | 43 | 43 | 46 | 44 | 47 | 44 | 47 | 44 | 43 | 50 | 48 | 48 | 47 | 45
Bush-Cheney | 49 | 51 | 50 | 48 | 49 | 45 | 49 | 46 | 50 | 51 | 44 | 46 | 46 | 48 | 49
Others | 1 | N/A | 2 | 1 | 1 | 2 | 1 | 1 | 2 | N/A | 1 | N/A | 1 | 1 | 1
Undecided | 5 | 6 | 5 | 5 | 7 | 6 | 6 | 5 | 4 | 6 | 5 | 6 | 5 | 4 | 5 |
Notice not only the quantity for Bush, but the difference in spread when Bush is on top.
My wife was nervous until I asked her to look at the various poll averages on places like RealClearPolitics and reverse the names on the polls. That is, put Bush's name on the kerry numbers and Kerry's name on the Bush numbers. Would that make her feel better or worse?
Suddenly she cheered up!
