I'd love to have a picture! Thank you, Race.
I just voted in East Boca Raton (Southern Palm Beach County). Based off the cars outside, it appeared that Bush had a slight edge. There were a lot of cars with Bush stickers and quite a few with anti-Bush/pro-Kerry graffiti on the windows.
Outside the polling place, there was a lady from "Moveon PAC" with a small table and 2 people at a table for Kerry. (All 3 people were older.) The Kerry table had free muffins and water. Interestingly, almost nobody was talking to them and nobody went for the muffins or water. One of the Kerry supporters walked the line and handed them out but that was the most interaction I saw people having with them.
The line at the polling location was the longest I have ever seen it. Normally there is 3 or 4 people in line at most. There was easily about 100 people this time and it took about 20 minutes to get through it. I talked a little bit with the people in line and although we didn't talk about politics directly, they didn't seem the Kerry type. (One was wearing a hat with an American flag on it.)
On the way home there were 2 Kerry supporters, college students, waving home made Kerry/Edwards signs at one fo the street corners. Not much enthusiasm. When I drove by I made eye contact with one of them and flipper her off, I know I shouldn't have done it but I couldn't resist. She put her sign down and didn't look happy.
Sign wasn't that big, it was the small VIETNAM VETS AGAINST JOHN KERRY signs from the Kerry Lied rally.
Response was good from drivers and exiters, bt I did have MANY more blank stares, not sure what that meant.
HOWEVER, the ratio was over 200 to 1, positive responses to the signs.
