To: An.American.Expatriate
For the very first time in my small MAssachusetts town (23,000), I had to stand in line for more than a half hour. Despite being Massachusetts, two things were different this year:

1) The local activists who always had their house and yard festooned with Gore signs last time had an empty yard.

2) Suddenly, overnight, BUSH CHENEY signs had appeared by the dozen, in yards on the way to the polls.

Granted, there is no hope of a "Favorite Son" losing this state, but it is not going to be won by as much as people think.

Did the deed. In my Mass. precinct it's 60-40 'rats and the early turnout was moderate.
