Great idea. We've been TV free for a while as well.
BTW, there is an organization promoting this. http://www.tvturnoff.org. Their web site has some good stuff, but you do have to put up with some libs on their forum.

I have already turned it off. I have radio headphones and the internet, what else do I need? I did, however, just had to see Chrissy's face. A close second was Andrea Mitchell. So, it's no Chrissy, no Wolfie, no Juan, no Mara, no TV for me!

But there are side effects to leaving the TV off that many of us who never watch TV can attest to. So true. I haven't owned a TV since 1990 and don't miss it a bit.
