For the size of Cleveland, the rally is extremely disappointing.

Scheduling conflict. The Kerry people were out in Toledo throwing eggs at delegates to the Fifth Third meeting of the International European Economic Union.

But Ohio is breaking for Bush, right? It's Bush all the way tomorrow, right? It's happening, right? I'm counting on it! I'm already practicing not gloating - you know, save the marriage and stuff.

DU -- "I would not be surprised if still more are packing the streets beyond the park. Hard to tell though."

LOL. The streets are EMPTY. There are so few people there that they don't need cops to block the roads.

I drove right by the rally place -- I didn't even have one car to wait for through traffic. LOL. It was like a Sunday.

C-SPAN makes it look big:

Is this true.....from the other side...?

"BTW, I don't know if anybody heard, but last weekend, [Dubya] drew about 20,000 to downtown Minneapolis. By contrast, Kerry had an estimated 30-35,000 show up, also in downtown Minneapolis, and that was 2 1/2 weeks ago."

Across the border here in PA...please contrast with W's appearance at 9:30 a.m., on a Monday (workday) at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Ampitheatre (the PG endorsed sKerry, but I gue$$ they took the venue anyway). The Ampitheatre is located about 25 miles south of Pittsburgh. Tickets went immediately...and they had over 12,000. The crowd there rocked (and they didn't need any stinking Boss). PA WILL GO RED TOMORROW!!!!!!!

Did you notice that each time they show a Kerry rally on C-Span, it's always a close up of Kerry because the crowd is not large (don't want to show small rally).

When George W. has a rally, the view is farther back, BECAUSE the rally is so big. With this I strongly feel that Bush will win BIG TIME. The Rallies are just too big to ignore.

Checked out the DUs. Thaks to their pics, I can tell you that the area of the rally wouldn't hold very many. I have to agree that it was a small rally. Used to work downtown.
Heck, I went to the rally for GWB in Erie, Pa and they had about 15,000 there and it's a small city!

They got Springsteen.

Bush has Bernie Kosar, Chris Spielman, Bob Feller, and Jack Nicklaus

Not to mention Lynn Swann, Anthony Munoz, Ernie Banks, Kerri Strug, and John "maybe you're semi-forgiven if Bush carries Colorado" Elway.

Meanwhile:

Hey Cleveland! Art and David Modell are now Democrats.

Thanks for the report from Ohio.

Our son and daughter were born in Columbus in the mid-80's. Ohio is a beautiful state. My father-in-law served aboard the WWII submarine USS Cod which is moored on your waterfront.

Don't know if someone posted this, and it is 2 a.m. here and I am too tired to look at all the posts. So forgive if it has been reported.

But, in Pittsburgh, PA - early morning 9 a.m rally in a small suburb south of there - Bush drew a crowd of what was reported to be 12,000-16,000 depending on what paper you read. They can't hide crows that large no matter how hard they try to keep it out of the news! My sister lives there. Lots of people from Ohio and WVA attended also. GO BUSH!
