A TO THE POINT HEADS-UP
I had a conversation with Bill Middendorf earlier today. Bill was the Secretary of the Navy from April 1974 to January 1978. I got to know Bill well when he was Ronald Reagan\'s Ambassador to the OAS and we worked together on support for the Contras.
Bill has agreed to publicly state that to the best of his knowledge and recollection, John Kerry was dishonorably discharged from the military and fought to have this reversed while he (Bill)was SECNAV, which Bill of course refused to do. When Carter became president, Kerry secured the honorable discharge from Bill\'s successor.
The OTH (Other Than Honorable)discharge story has been out for a while, but for a former Secretary of the Navy to confirm it is major news. WorldNetDaily will be headlining it, as should the Washington Times tomorrow, and possibly Drudge. For some reason, Drudge, whom Jerry Corsi (coauthor of Unfit for Command) just talked to a few minutes! ago, is resisting. I also gave the story to Neal Cavuto at Fox.
I thought all TTPers should get a heads-up on this.

It would take weeks for the Main Stream Media to react to this.
Is it me or does anyone else notice that alot of new people (last 6 months) are trying to surpress this on FR tonight?
Apr 74 to Jan 78 is Nixon and Ford era....makes sense that Kerry would fight it.
My guess is that Ted Kennedy knows. He was probably Kerry's champion with the higher ups.

You have to wonder- perhaps they had trouble securing visitor passes to the 'Old Sailor's Home'
I feel that President Bush being the honest man he is will pardon Kerry for his lies and dishonor to our country.
Read what you just wrote.
The "man" if elected President would do it again -- commit treason. It is not honest to give a pass to intentional acts of treason. You seem to have a delusional definition of the word honest.
Oh, excuse me, you feel and apparently didn't think.
Welcome aboard tonk
Great work, but too late to help?
I hope that the people of the United States of America, the country that I know, will never elect such a Treasonous Traitor as President.
If they disappoint me, I guess we will just have to learn to deal with a TTPOTUS.

Please please make sure this is really and incontrovertably true before going forward, lest it backfire on us big time.</p>
They're just doing what they're paid to do.
Take it as a compliment. FR is a grave threat to the liberal elite. They're throwing everything they've got at us.
"Bill has agreed to publicly state that to the best of his knowledge and recollection, John Kerry was dishonorably discharged from the military and fought to have this reversed while he (Bill)was SECNAV, which Bill of course refused to do."
That is weak and qualified. NOT wise politically to use something like this the day before the election.
I've been around here since early 1999 and I don't think it should be done tomorrow, either. It will just look dirty and the media will blame President Bush. We don't need this right at this particular moment, IMHO.
Kerry admitted the other day in an interview that he did not release all his records!
I dont know about this......A Bad Conduct or Dishonorable Discharge would require a Military Court Martial. Toooo hard to cover up. Kerry probably had along the lines of General to Undesirable.
Did you send matt an email?
drudge@drudgereport.com
99.9% of the people who vote tomorrow will not hear this before doing so and that doesn't even count the ones who have already voted. I choose to believe that had this story been timely, John Kerry would not have had a chance of winning.
Matt's not going to touch it unless it's umimpeachable.
"To the best of my knowledge" isn't anywhere near solid enough.
Exactly. We needed this 3-4 weeks ago, but even then the MSM would have avoided mention of it - but at least there would have been time for it to make the rounds of bloggers and talk radio until it was widely known. As it is, I don't think anyone except conservative political junkies will know about it tonight....
How Kerry was allowed to get to this point without DEMANDS from the press that he sign the SF 180 and release all of his records is a textbook case of media bias. The MSM has protected this traitor every step of the way. He's GOT TO BE DEFEATED tomorrow!
So, you are disappointed that the Liberal Press is not jumping all over a story that,
"Bill Middendorf has agreed to publicly state that to the best of his knowledge and recollection, John Kerry was dishonorably discharged from the military".
Shouldn't this be a provable fact? Are you saying that we cannot verify if someone received a dishonorable discharge? If this is true, why would anyone admit to a dishonorable discharge?
