A TO THE POINT HEADS-UP
I had a conversation with Bill Middendorf earlier today. Bill was the Secretary of the Navy from April 1974 to January 1978. I got to know Bill well when he was Ronald Reagan\'s Ambassador to the OAS and we worked together on support for the Contras.
Bill has agreed to publicly state that to the best of his knowledge and recollection, John Kerry was dishonorably discharged from the military and fought to have this reversed while he (Bill)was SECNAV, which Bill of course refused to do. When Carter became president, Kerry secured the honorable discharge from Bill\'s successor.
The OTH (Other Than Honorable)discharge story has been out for a while, but for a former Secretary of the Navy to confirm it is major news. WorldNetDaily will be headlining it, as should the Washington Times tomorrow, and possibly Drudge. For some reason, Drudge, whom Jerry Corsi (coauthor of Unfit for Command) just talked to a few minutes! ago, is resisting. I also gave the story to Neal Cavuto at Fox.
I thought all TTPers should get a heads-up on this.

Yes.
ABC, AP, CBS, CNN, FOX, MSNBC, NBC, NY Times
Traitors, just like Hanoi Kerry!

The claim CONCERNING SECRETARY MIDDENDORF'S OPINION is unsupported.
(1) The Swifties "source" just references another site where a search turns up no reference to Mr. Middendorf.
(2) Consider the timing of the claim.
(3) The stated term served by Secretary Middendorf is incorrect.
Mark Levin on 770 WABC (NY area)just mentioned this.
Even if it is true that JFsK received a less than honorable discharge in 73, Jimmah Cahtah later issued amnesty to draft dodgers and other undesirables.
So sKerry would have amnesty. On action by a board of officers, he does evidently have an honorable discharge as a result issued in '78.
I think this story is a non-starter at this late date.
FWIW, I still have a really, really bad taste in my mouth and anger toward the creep or creeps who got Fox to blare forth the DUI charge against Dubya three days before the 2000 election. I'm afraid this story would have the same effect in reverse.
Ref your "Quit being a quiter! Lets spread the fire! God parted the Red Sea, now get moving!"
I had to go back and re-read my post to see where you got the idea that I had quit. I have been active and will continue until late tomorrow night, pending the decisions of the Courts here in Ohio.

This is the wrong time for it. He should keep quiet about it.
It won't do any good at this late date and may backfire. We can't take the chance.
Maybe if he would have spoken out a couple of weeks ago...
ping!
Yeah, if this had hit a few days ago maybe it would have mattered.
According to this, it is breaking tomorrow, and Mark Levin is talking about it on his radio show right now.
Is he saying the discharge was dishonorable or other-than-honorable?
Freeper mammer just freepmailed me and said that it is being reported on WABC!
possibly won't help this election, but at least Kerry will be known for what he really is, a traitor the rest of his pathetic life.................
"Something wrong here. I seem to have read that officers don't get dishonorable discharges per se."
Au contraire~~~~officers can and do recieve dishonorable discharges, sometimes for relatively petty offensives, like packing their expense account. Sometime they are "ecouraged" to resign for the "good of the service".
I believe that is what he is going to do!!
Greta (FOX) has an opening tonight as Mrs. Edwards cancelled her planned appearance. Maybe Greta could have Levin on in her place.
