I was Army enlisted, so maybe that explains it. It says "Honorable" on my DD214, I assumed that was my Honorable Discharge.

Maybe I never got an honorable discharge! It is true that my last Top was the one I tangled with a quite a bit!

On the 214, if I remember correctly, it states your type of service and your service was Honorable. A 214 sort of acts like a letter of recommendation. But your discharge would not have happened until your entire obligation was up. Most obligations are 6 years, with either 3 or 4 active.

If you never received an Honorable Discharge certificate in the mail, you may want to contact the Army. If you moved, they may not have had a current address for you.

OVER AND OUT! Going to bed. :)

Well now I am confused. I served 4 years in the USMC and was Honorable Discharged in 74. All I ever got was my dd214. Yes, I was informed I would have to remain inactive reserve for 2 years.

Are you saying I was never Honorable Discharged from the Corps, only active duty? I want my Honorable Discharge! How do I get it?
