I know exactly what you mean. I plan to cut and hack at rose bushes this weekend. GMTA! I've done 2/3 of the pre-winter out in front of the house, with 2 more that need a savage whack job - I'll get those tomorrow. Then a nice round of golf Sunday and NO TV NEWS.

I just caught a glimpse of the OBL tape and Kerry's response: Kerry was in over his head. I say that just as an observer, putting aside politics--the man looked nervous and unprepared. His head was turning this way and that way, talking fast to the press instead of speaking directly into the camera, reassuring the public. Not presidential at all.

Clintoon also turned down offers from Sudan to extradite OBL. He was too busy with the threat from Sloboden Milosevic. He was too busy with the "thunda down unda"

Let me make this very clear: Americans will not be intimidated or influenced.
That's what President Bush said before saying he is sure Kerry agrees...Fox just replayed both statements.
Gawd, Kerry's is filled with all kinds of big talk.

"Dude...he's still following Kamp Kerry, reporting all of the foibles therein.
Get with it."
Dudette...I can't "get with it".....on my schedule I get FNC for two hours a day...6-8pm...in that time I have to fight with the wife over the TV so I'm stuck on the net (Freerepublic) finding my news...the wifey poo goes to bed at 9pm and I'm stuck watching Judy Woodruff...so cut me some slack....just trying to keep up...sheesh...

FYI to those without radio or tv,
Evening news person said no specific threat, thus no plan to raise threat level.
Bush:" America will not be intimidated..Im sure Kerry would agree....We are at war with these terrorists, and I am confident we will prevail."
Speculation on impact to the election.
Kerry blabbing about stopping at nothing to hunt down terrorists, trying to sound tough.
Russert saying this is political "jump ball", neither side should overplay hand, talking about Kerry having to fight for MI now.
Hawaii important now if Bush loses NH.

Okay, he's doing too good a job - covering Kerry. Think about it - if he really didn't like the man - as his little joke was meant to get people to thinking - One would see it in his reporting. We get just the reverse - He even says the democrat talking points better than others, including Kerry - He sums them up with the best of the Socialist Democrats -
I could be wrong - but that is my opinion - or my take on him

Fred on roundtable says someone at the WH said next to capturing bin Laden, having him come out and campaign against you is the next best thing---and they noted how he even included dem talking points, and Fred lists some.

Thanks for the info. I have them on mute while I listen to Hugh Hewitt. Will watch Britt later on tonight on the repeat.

Ok...I can't debunk your theory as I can't see enough of him...but from what I've seen of him...he doesn't look like a kool-aid drinker...but I will take noticed if FNC shows one of his reports when I can see it....

Maybe it's just me, but I have a severe distaste of pundits discussing the benefits of this for any candidate.
I know it's a political season, we're a few days out of Nov. 2nd, and this obviously reflects better on ONE candidate because the other would get us killed, but I detest it's come to this due to politization of opposition by a party desirous of reclaiming power.
To: cyncooper
It warms my heart just think about those Kerry pollsters and how they're going to be up all night trying to read their tea-leaves for impacts of the OBL tape.
I wonder if it will occur to anyone on their campaign that they wouldn't have anything to worry about if they had presented a united front against terror all thru the campaign...rather than align themselves with the lunatic wing of the Rat party.
