There are a range of discharges, and even if someone is a problem, there are options to get them out without stigmatizing them for life. An other than honorable, though, means the guy who discharged Kerry wanted to leave a mark. That's assuming, of course, this information is accurate.
I would respectfully disagree.
If Kerry received a less than honourable discharge that was pardoned or upgraded later by Jimmy Carter and/or his miltary record was otherwise whitewashed later, it proves the following:
a) Kerry is exposed as a liar again - when Kerry was campaigning for the Democratic Congressional Nomination in 1970 he claimed he was honourably dishcarged in March 1970 -see his interview with the Harvard Crimson Tide of February 18, 1970;
b) the reason for the less than honourable discharge had to be his anti-war activities whilst still a commissioned officer so clearly Kerry has gone to great lengths to cover this up because he has known from the beginning it would hurt his political ambitions; and
c) Kerry has been exposed for yet another lie - his own website is not carrying the truth about his military record.
Note to Lawrence O' Donnell - you've identified the wrong creepy liar.
