Yep, make sure the base is going to the polls and energize them with an historic trip to a solid Dem state. This is big news and the Gore and Kerry daughter trip just makes the Dems look desperate in comparison.
Remember people, Hawaii is the only other state to be openly attacked by an enemy, they know what it is like to be attacked without warning, or pity. The polls are showing it going to Bush because they believe in him that he did the right thing after 9/11.
