ONLY 10 DAYS AGO THE RED SOX WERE ON THE BRINK OF BEING SWEPT OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS! AND NOW ARE WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!
No, but maybe I will after 3 or 4 more beers.
thank you!
Two Super Bowls for the Patriots and now a World Series for Boston on W's watch!!
He needs to point that out when he comes to NH in the closing days!~!!!
hahahahahah
Well not quite a AAA staff but a bit better than a journeyman staff, with the exception of Morris, Kline and Isringhausen, and that was good enough with the Card's regular season staff to do serious damage in a weak National League. Steve Kline being out hurt, as he may have been able to stem a rally in Game 1. Cards win that, who knows.
Don't forget W was born in New England.
OK I'm gonna try to make you feel better (I will be stretching it a bit but bear with me). In 1904, even though there was no World Series, the Red Sox ended the season as champions. And Teddy R won the election and he was a Pubbie. Bad new though, in 1894 the Boston Beaneaters won the Series (yes there was a Series of sorts then , the NL vs the AA), but Grover Cleveland won the election and he was a Dem.
Like the owners, Henry, Luchinno, and WENNER (that Fag) who want to "open" the parade to Kerry.
We Truly hate these people, they aren't fans, and you didn't see the "boys" sucking up to them post game!
GO BUSH!!
Democrats have won in the two Cards winning years (FDR and LBJ) and the two Red Sox winning years (Wilson, Wilson again).
Actually many people compare Wilson to W as both were Governors who came into office with strong resumes on domestic issues with little foreign policy experience, and both were thrust into serious foreign policy situations shortly after their inaugurations.
I pray they're the ONLY winners out of Boston this year! ;)
I was telling my little boy tonight that the last time the Sox won, his Great-Grandmother was 6 years old! I'm a die-hard Dodgers fan (the Angels to a lesser extent) but my dad lived in Boston for 3 years and one of my best friends lives in the Boston suburbs, and I know how much the folks there love their team. (Riding the Green Line on a Sunday with lots of people going to or coming Fenway is a unique experience! It's just not like L.A. ...) Initially part of me would have liked the Cardinals to win just because they're National League and had beaten the Dodgers earlier in the playoffs...but the Red Sox staged such a spectacular comeback last week, and in the end I just had to root for them to finally do it, because I knew how much it would thrill people like you. Although I dislike MA Dems (grin), I otherwise love MA -- Boston is one of the world's great historic cities -- and it was wonderful to see such an historic moment tonight. Congratulations!!!
Victory is ours :)
'cept sKerry can't put the ball over the plate and is a LOOOSER.
And then there was his statement in one of the debates:
(in response to the environmental question.....)
GIBSON: Senator Kerry, minute and a half.
KERRY: Boy, to listen to that -- the president, I don't think, is living in a world of reality with respect to the environment. Now, if you're a Red Sox fan, that's OK. But if you're a president, it's not.
The return of Shilling to the Red Sox organization is the antithesis of what the Red Sox did when they traded away the Babe.
It had all the appearances of a curse, but instead it was the Sox simply learning what it takes to win a World Series -- a star pitcher.
Just enjoy the moment. That's all we we were ever supposed to do when this moment came.
Doesn't this feel great???
Red Sox fan Forever!
CA....
There are no fans more deserving then the Cubs fans!
As a Bosox fan, I sincerely hope, you are next!!!
Your sportsmanship is appreciated!
I remember that one! Were you there for it, too?
