i like your take on it - it seems that we may have uncovered a lot more. this would be a great strategy for protecting us and a good way to introdcue us to the real news which is - russia took WMDs out of Iraq before we got there and may even talk about it!

Yes, I have read Clancy, however, this is not a novel and life is stranger than fiction.

Now "if" Saddam gave those weapons to the Russians for safe keeping, then they, the Russians, were obligated to tell the UN meaning US and old JFKerry would have know the status of the weapons by way of his "intel" briefings.
