To: Just mythoughts

I can see a lot of reasons Russia might want these weapons. Most likely, Saddam "bought" them with a promise of huge oil contracts when sanctions were lifted. If Russia wasn't going to get paid for them, they would certainly want something that valuable back.

This may be an operation the Russians wanted to keep close to the vest. We'll see what Putin has to say.

Again--the Russian Embassy told the Financial Times this story was "nonsense." Would Putin say different?

Thus far it has been too little too late, "IF" the Russians took these weapons then they should have reported it to the UN, and that means US.
