The original email author is a typical "gloom and doom" liberal.
First, recent studies by professionals have come to the conclusion that George Bush is significantly more intelligent and has a higher IQ than John Kerry. He may not be the polished orator of the do nothing senator, but he knows what needs to be done and actually does it.
As to a president who is "out playing sports", your friend should look at John Kerry, whoes greatest accomplishments of his senate career seem to have been achieved on a wind surfer, a pricey mountain bike, or a snowboard. Other than that, all he has accomplished is to marry two rich women in order to get to the money their husbands made.
Finally, remember the well known axiom, "Never argue with a fool. People might forget who's who."
According to military records, Kerry's IQ score was in the 91st percentile of the whole population, and Dubya's was higher - in the 95th percentile.
So since the original letter writer seems to say the entire choice of who to vote for in this election hinges on intelligence, they should have this factoid mailed back to them and it should be demanded that they either, 1) Announce that they are changing their vote, or 2) Admit they are a hypocrite.
PS: The article also mentioned that in his first Congressional bid many years ago, Dubya's Dem opponent successfully used GWB's Ivy League education against him to portray him as some out-of-touch-with-Texas, too-smart-for-his-own-good intellectual snob. The article implied that after that loss, GWB deliberately changed the way he talked so as to prevent ever again being tarred with this image!
