Here's the investors' reasoning, causing the Dow to go up:
1 - There won't really be a terrorist attack.
2 - But the public scare will guaranty that President Bush is reelected.
Thus - the Dow is now back to almost 10,000, and the Nasdaq is up 35, almost 2 percent.
oil was down to 53/barrel
What you said...or the DOW could be responding to the slew of good economic news including a rapid retreat in oil prices.
