I hope that ABC is doing the correct thing. Not airing until authenticated by CIA. It would be devastating to ABC if it turned out to be fake, especially in light of RatherGate.
Best case scenario, ABC gets it sometime today or yesterday, passes along to CIA, CIA authenticates as best as possible and then allows ABC to air.
ABC is dealing with issues related to National Defense. If they were to hide it, it could be considered teasonous.

Yep, if you think this through it would be completely irresponsible for ABC to air it before the correct government agencies have taken a long look at it. The story here is the existance of the tape, not the way ABC has decided to handle the airing of it.

Earlier this year I noted that ABC links were usually on Islamic web sites.
No it wouldn't. All ABC has to do is state a disclaimer that they obtained the tape from Waziristan (a bad neighborhood if there ever was one) and that they don't know if it is authentic or not, but they should SHOW IT immediately in the interest of public safety and let us make up our own minds.
Only if they claimed it was absolute fact would they risk a Rathergate type embarrassment. The only conceivable reasons for NOT showing the tape are:
1- the CIA told them not to show it yet, or
2- they want to suppress it to help Kerry
