Being as I can see about 10 ships sitting out in the ocean waiting to move into port I would say that the reason for the wait is for the extra security measures being taken at this time. Besides the strike I have not seen this many ships waiting to go into port in a while. ************

Yes, I can see the cranes that load/unload the ships from my balcony. It could be the christmas rush but they are getting stacked up out there waiting to go into port.
