I wonder if they aren't hoisting themselves by their own petard?
Which is perfect...they can't blame us
I worked in an around media, local (Boston) and national from the 60s to the 80s. Over that time, network news consistently lost audience. This is before FR and home computers!
Back then they were talking about giving up on the network news - local news always did fine. I don't know why they didn't give it up like they were saying so long ago and can't imagine how they're still in business now.
But to most of us, it sure as heck looks like suicide.
